Mary is the Vice President of Human Resources. She has been with Great North since 2000. She began with the company as a part time employee recruiter. Since then Mary has been instrumental in helping to grow the human resource department. Today Mary oversees all recruitment, personnel matters, benefits, payroll, policy / procedures and other HR concerns.
Mary is one of eight children, the oldest daughter, second born. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts and spent the first five years of life in South Boston before moving to a small farm town in the suburbs of the city.
Mary began her career working at Powercube/Unitrode Corporation and Raytheon in the Missile Systems Division. She attended night classes to earn her Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, graduating with high honors from Fitchburg State. She has over 33 years in the Human Resource field.
Mary earned workmanship standard certifications from both the Army and Navy and spent time working in Mexico setting up production lines and training the hourly workforce for Unitrode Corporation under MIL-S-45743 E Soldering Manual Type High Reliability.
Mary also earned the first government approved company workmanship standard program from China Lake Naval weapons center for Raytheon Company, Lowell Plant under Mil-STD-2000A. While at Raytheon, she was identified as one of the top 10 female performers. After her time at Raytheon, Mary moved into commercial technical training and developed an approved training program as required by the International Standards Organization and the American National Standards Institute for Schneider Automation in North Andover, MA.
