Lou Gargiulo, CMCA of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire is the CEO and principal owner and founder of Great North Property Management, Inc. in Exeter, NH.
Lou has spent over 40 years in business. He was a senior executive with the Stop and Shop companies for over 20 years where he managed over two hundred million dollars in assets. In 1990 Lou co-founded Great North Property Management (GNPM) Inc. a real estate asset management company headquartered in Exeter with his former business partner over a quarter century ago. Lou and his team have structured the business to go on for many years to come by constantly making sizeable investments in state of the art technology and great people. Lou believes that the continued success of any organization rests in remaining on the cutting edge and has employed that philosophy in the Great North culture.
Lou is especially prominent in the management of residential condominium communities. His business is one of the top ranked management companies in New England. His organization specializes in the management of residential communities and bank owned assets throughout New England. Since inception, GNPM has grown into becoming the largest real estate management firm in New England employing over 130 employees and operating over 500 billion dollars in real estate assets under its management in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont and does so with 7 regional offices and its corporate headquarters in Exeter, New Hampshire.
Most recently Lou created a new division Great North Advantage GNA focuses on providing management services to non-profit organizations, this divisions has received national attention for its work in the childcare sector and currently provides management support to non-profits across the New England region. Lou believes a socially responsible company that gives back to the community only increases its own success and GNA was founded with that guiding principal.
Lou has also been involved in politics in New Hampshire for over 25 years. He served as State Representative for the towns of Stratham, and North Hampton in 1992 to 1996 and took a hiatus from elected office to raise his family and develop his business. He still follows the political process very carefully and has good friends across the political spectrum. He believes that bipartisanship and compromise is the cornerstone of our democracy and supports people who embrace that philosophy. He incorporates that same approach to business and is constantly seeking reasonable solutions to solve problems.
Lou is the husband of Mary Ann Gargiulo, and the proud father of Justin, Julie, Eddie and Colleen Gargiulo. Justin, and his wife Nicole Gargiulo reside in the Seacoast of NH as does Julie and her husband Michael Hamilton. Colleen is pursuing a graduate degree at The University of St. Andrews in Scotland and Eddie is seeking a successful path in the business community. Lou is also the Grandfather of two grandsons Jaden and Mason Gargiulo and Maddie and Kyleigh Hamilton.
Lou is a former commissioned US Army Officer, and a former member of the Stratham volunteer fire department where he served as an EMT and firefighter for 15 years. He was the President of the Board of Directors for the Seacoast Repertory Theater (SRT) and is currently an ex officio member of the SRT Board of Directors. Mr. Gargiulo is also a former board member for the Community Associations Institute of NH, and is a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), Lou is also a Corporator at The Provident Bank, and is member of the Portsmouth and Exeter Chambers of Commerce. Lou is very active with the Community Association Institute CAI and a 25 year member.
Lou enjoys spending time at his lake retreat on Lake Winnipesaukee. He is an avid reader, boater, fine diner and a follower of news events locally and across the globe.
